Hill Aerospace Museum in Ogden,Utah

On a business trip to Utah, I had the opportunity to visit the Hill Air Force Museum, But because I had to get my plane back to Europe I only had two hours to visit the museum. The museum is a tribute to Major Pete Hill who was Killed in 1935 while testing a bomber prototype at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio.

Photography of the exhibited aircraft is good, in the first gallery the light is very good. In the second gallery, it is quite dark and the flash of the camera is definitely recommended. and a tripod is needed. Exhibited aircraft outside are very well photographable with a very beautiful background of the Uinta Mountains.

Hill Aerospace Museum is located on the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, about five miles south of Ogden. The museum was founded in 1982 as part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program and first opened to the public in 1987. It moved to its current facility in 1991. The Museum exhibits more than 90 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles on the grounds and inside the Major General Rex A. Hadley Gallery and the Lindquist Stewart Fighter Gallery.

The collection also includes a wide variety of ordnance and munitions, an assortment of aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, uniforms, and thousands of other historical artifacts. The museum has 5 themes namely The Beginnings, World War II, Dawn of the Jet Age , The Cold War, Keeping the Peace, Utah Aviation Hall of Fame, Women Airforce Service Pilots, American Aerospace Pioneers.
