Radom International Airshow 2018

On the 24th of August 2018 we left around 11 am for the airshow in Radom. After a bus trip from 22 hours we finally arrived on the 25th of August around 07 am at Radom. Sadly the weather was not on our side, very humid weather and rain showers. After a small walk we arrived at the entrance of the airshow. Because of the bad weather we decided to stay on the base as we weren’t going to suffer from backlight. As soon as we found a spot on the field we went to picture the static aircraft.

The highlight of the static display was without a doubt the Su-25UB from the Ukrainian Air Force. Sadly not all the aircraft in the static parc where positioned in a good position for photography as the fences and some tents were put really close to some airframes, so we sometimes had to be a bit creative.

Sadly we had to miss quite a few hardware from the Polish military. Both the MiG-29 and Su-22 fleet, as well as the Mi-24 fleet were grounded at the time that the airshow took place due to various problems.

Luckily the highlight of the flying display did perform despite the very bad weather, this display came from the Pakistan Air Force with the JF-17 “Thunder”. The display aircraft painted in a bright green paint scheme.

Due to the bad weather the show was a bit behind schedule but we had to be back at our bus for home by 18h00. By that time the show was still going on with a couple of display teams that we had to miss for our long ride back home.
